Willan embarked on his cinematic journey in 2000, serving as an Assistant Director across Asia and North America. With a portfolio spanning over 80 diverse projects, from short films to full-length features, his dedication to the craft is evident.

In 2018, Willan’s production prowess shone through when he co-produced the award-winning short film, “Gemini”, “The Followers”. Since then, he has remained an unwavering pillar of support for his peers, collaborating in various capacities on a myriad of projects.

His 2019 ventures included co-producing acclaimed short films such as “Parabola” and “Grandma’s 80th Surprise”, both of which were showcased at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival.

The subsequent year saw Willan take on the role of producer for “FREYA”, a project blessed with backing from the Harold Greenburg Fund & Creative BC. This short film garnered numerous accolades, most notably the prestigious Leo Award in Canada.

Rooted in his passion for cinema, Willan persistently champions local filmmakers, fostering connections and pioneering opportunities within the vibrant tapestry of the film community.
